When I'm not thinking about how microbes understand and respond to their environment, I try to understand and respond to my own. Usually, this involves puns. I'm a PhD candidate in the Newman Lab at Caltech. My interests lie at the intersection of cell biology, evolution, and ecology--a fun place for a microbiologist. I co-created the Caltech Letters: Biosphere podcast, in which we explore how biology as a science and biology as a pursuit intersect.
