This is a rare controlled human trial of exposure to a panel of metal particulates. Inflammatory marker responses are taken metal-by-metal, with Aluminium coming off badly. Multiple indicators of neurological stress appeared shortly after exposure, including Parkinsons-related and neuroblastoma-related biomarkers UCHL1 and VMA.
